The safest and most secure way of shipping a vehicle is enclosed, however, it will cost slightly more than open trailer shipping. When shipping a vehicle enclosed, it will be safe from flying debris on highways and is usually not moved once it is loaded on. Shipping a vehicle on an open trailer is the cheapest form of shipping, however, the vehicle will be exposed to the elements such as rain, snow, and wind. |

If shipping a vehicle overseas, it becomes a two step process. The first step is to determine how the vehicle will be ultimately shipped to its final destination: airplane or boat. Obviously, shipping by airplane will be much more costly than by boat. However, if time is a factor, airplane is the best choice as the vehicle will reach its destination within a day as opposed to a few months depending on where the destination is. If choosing to ship by boat, the vehicle can be shipped in a container or driven onto the boat. Being shipped in a container is similar to shipping a vehicle enclosed, it is protected from the elements and it does not have to be driven. The second step is determining how the vehicle will get from us to the shipping port or airport. Any of the two options above are available with enough advance notice. |
